The United States launched a new trade battle with China at the World Trade Organization on July 13. In this fight, the Obama administration is asking the WTO to start a process for resolving a U.S. complaint about duties that China imposes on its exports of raw materials. Those duties raise the cost of the raw materials for U.S. manufacturers.
