One of the cafes targeted in last month's terrorism rampage in Paris re-opens Friday.
Five people were killed at Cafe Bonne Biere in the French capital during the November 13 attacks that killed 130 people across Paris. Islamic State militants have claimed responsibility for the attacks.
Bonne Biere is the first of the bars targeted in the attacks to re-open.
A sign outside the brasserie said: "It's time for us to find ourselves again together, united and to move forward in order to not forget."
Local residents said they agreed.
"We must continue life as it is. It's sad, indeed, because five persons died here between this bar and the small restaurant nearby. It's sad, what can I tell you. It has no sense, killing people for nothing,” said Diego Morris, a neighbor.
"It's time they open and that we continue life as it was before. Nobody can stop us to live, the French youth, the free countries, and all the people who want to live freely in the entire world - France and all the countries in the world. Nobody will prevent people from living their life," said Paule Zlotnik, a neighbor and shopkeeper.
