The rising price of gas Americans consume driving to the workplace is consuming more of their paychecks
Americans nationwide are feeling the pinch of increasing gas prices.  That pressure is carrying over to the workplace.   Rather than giving raises, many American bosses are allowing employees to work a four-day week, adding two hours to each day with the fifth day off.

As VOA's Robert Raffaele explains, some employees and governments see the plan as mutually beneficial.
