PRESS RELEASE -
Washington, D.C., June 11, 2008 - Muslims' America debut episode
profiles a mosque outside Philadelphia whose membership breaks with the
stereotypical congregation. Voice of America's new weekly, multimedia series
offers interviews, discussions and personal profiles to reflect the diversity of

Muslim-American experience.
"We want to show various perspectives of Muslims in the U.S., and examine
what it means to be a Muslim in America today," said Jennifer Janin, Chief of
VOA's Urdu Service. "As the show's title suggests, being American is an
important part of how Muslim-Americans define themselves."
