Pakistani officials say two suspected U.S. drone strikes have killed at least six people in the country's northwest.
Wednesday's attacks took place in the North Waziristan tribal region. Officials say a pre-dawn drone strike on a house killed at least two suspected militants in the Spin Wam area. Hours later, a second strike targeted a vehicle in the Datta Khel district, killing at least four suspected militants.
The United States has increased its use of drone missiles against Taliban and al-Qaida-linked militants in northwestern Pakistan.
Elsewhere in the tribal area, Pakistani officials say a bomb on a motorcycle exploded in a market in the Khyber region Wednesday. At least seven people were wounded in the blast, including members of a local peace committee.
In the southwestern province of Baluchistan, Pakistani authorities say an explosion near a police patrol killed at least two people, including a police officer.
Police were also among the more than 11 people wounded in Wednesday's blast, which happened in Quetta, the provincial capital.
Baluchistan has long been the site of a low-level insurgency seeking more autonomy for the province and a greater share of money from its natural resources.
In recent weeks, the region has also seen several attacks on trucks carrying supplies to NATO troops in Afghanistan.
