Alem Biset, head of the
bureau's public relations and civil service reform, told VOA, "Three zones in Tigrai, western, northwestern and
central are getting sufficient amount of rain in this summer, but some places
in both southern and eastern parts of the region are facing drought risk."
"The bureau and Relief
Society of Tigrai is cooperating in transporting feed for cattle from other
parts of the region to Southern Tigrai," he said. The government official cautioned farmers about using their lands
to cultivate seeds that can grow very fast in the near months.
