The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugee's Humanitarian Coordinator for Jordan says he is seeing Syrian refugees pouring into Jordan from further and further distances--as far away as Hama--crossing inhospitable terrain in search of safety.

It takes refugees as many as 2-5 days after crossing Jordan's eastern border before they can be moved to the Zaatari camp, in northwestern Jordan. Jordanian Armed Forces cover all costs.
