NFL Playoff Picture Complete

The playoff picture in the National Football League is now complete.

The Denver Broncos took the AFC's last wild card spot with a 33-14 victory over the AFC South Division champion Indianapolis Colts. Colts quarterback Peyton Manning sat out most of the game, a week after breaking the NFL record for touchdown passes.

The Seattle Seahawks, meanwhile, won the NFC West with a 28-26 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

In earlier NFL action Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings fell to the Washington Redskins, 21-18, but slipped into the playoffs courtesy of New Orleans' 21-18 win over Carolina.

The Saint Louis Rams topped the New York Jets 32-29 in overtime to also clinch a playoff berth. But the Jets made the post-season after the Pittsburgh Steelers held off the Buffalo Bills 29-24. The loss knocked Buffalo out of playoff contention.
