North Korean Prime Minister Meets with Chinese President


North Korean Prime Minister Pak Pong-ju met with Chinese President Hu Jintao in Beijing Wednesday.

Mr. Pak gave a letter to Mr. Hu from North Korean leader Kim Jong-il.

The meeting comes one day after Mr. Pak assured his Chinese counterpart, Wen Jiabao, that North Korea is committed to returning to the six-party talks on its nuclear program.

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice suggested during her trip to recent trip to China that Pyongyang could face sanctions if it does not act soon.

Mr. Pak is a on a six-day visit to China, which is North Korea's biggest ally and aid donor. He is getting a first-hand look at projects that highlight China's economic reforms.
