New Poll Says Bush's Approval Rating at All-Time Low

update

A new public opinion poll in the United States says President Bush's job approval rating has fallen to an all-time low of 45 percent because of the war in Iraq and rising gasoline prices.

The ABC News-Washington Post survey published Wednesday found that just over half (53 percent) of the 1,600 people surveyed said the war in Iraq is not worth fighting, while 57 percent disapprove of the president's handling of the conflict.

The survey also said 73 percent disapprove of President Bush's efforts to control the soaring gasoline prices in the United States.

The poll said that Mr. Bush's handing of the war against terrorism received 56 percent approval, the only issue on which he received a majority approval.

The poll of randomly selected Americans has a three percent margin of error.
