Iranian FM Postpones Saudi Visit on Gulf Tour

Iran's foreign minister has postponed a visit to Saudi Arabia, which was to be part of a tour of Gulf States aimed at gathering support for Iran's controversial nuclear program.

Manouchehr Mottaki was to hold talks with his Saudi counterpart Prince Saud al-Faisal in Jeddah Wednesday. Instead he traveled to the United Arab Emirates, following talks in Oman.

Iranian and Saudi officials said the meeting was postponed because of differences in the men's schedules, and the two would meet in the future. They also dismissed reports of tension between the two nations sparked by the Iraq war.

Prince Saud has expressed concerns over Iran's alleged interference in Iraq, including the entry of people, money and weapons to Iraq.

Iran has denied the allegations.
