UNICEF Seeks $7.7 Million to Save Ethiopian Health Program

The United Nations Children's Fund is appealing for $7.7 million to save a health program for Ethiopian children.

UNICEF's country director for Ethiopia, Bjorn Ljungqvist, says the program, known as Enhanced Outreach Strategy, may shut down unless donors supply the funding.

The program provides children with measles vaccination, vitamin A supplements, and mosquito nets to combat malaria.

Measles and malaria are two of Africa's biggest killers for children under the age of five.
