Also on October 30, Jive Records will release Britney Spears' much-anticipated album, Blackout. Her debut single, "Gimme More" jumped from Number 68 to Number 3 following her embarrassing performance on the MTV Music Video Awards. This week, it falls seven positions to Number 13 (week ending November 3).

In other Britney Spears news… A California court commissioner ruled that the singer doesn't have to go to trial for the August 6 minor car accident that occurred in a Studio City parking lot. Britney paid damages to the owner of the other vehicle. She has one more driving-related charge against her, which is driving without a California license. A pre-trial hearing for that charge will take place on November 26.
