South Africa 213-1 v West Indies in 3rd Test

update

South Africa's cricket team has reached 213-1 by the end of the first day of their third test match against the West Indies in Durban.

Graeme Smith scored his 13th test century to lead South Africa, reaching 122 not out. Hashim Amla added another 55 runs for the home side.

The score was in response to the West Indies' total of 139 all out in its first innings. Denesh Ramdin was the top scorer for the Caribbean side with 30 runs. South African bowler Shaun Pollock was 4-35 while Andre Nel was 3-45 for the home side.

It was Pollock's first test appearance in almost a year after he was dropped from the squad because of concerns about his pace. This is the deciding match of the three-test Series. The West Indies won the first test and South Africa took the second.

The two sides will also play five one-day internationals beginning January 20th in Centurion.
