The Israeli army says it has removed two roadblocks in the West Bank, in an effort to ease restrictions on Palestinians in the occupied territory.
Army officials said Wednesday the roadblocks at Rimonim and Atara have been taken down.
Israel has more than 600 checkpoints and roadblocks in the West Bank.
Palestinian officials said Wednesday's measures were not enough and that Israel should lift all restrictions on Palestinian movement.
Separately, the Israeli army closed three checkpoints to Israeli civilians near the city of Nablus Wednesday, in order to prevent further confrontations between soldiers and Israeli left-wing activists who were observing troops' conduct.
And Israeli security forces destroyed some settlement outposts in the West Bank. The move comes as the Israeli government moves forward with plans to dismantle Jewish settlements that have been built without the government's authorization.
The plans are an effort to appease the United States, which has called on the Netanyahu government to stop expanding West Bank settlements in order to revive Mideast peace efforts.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Washington's demands "unreasonable" during a parliamentary committee meeting Monday.
