Developing Robots Recovery Operations After Earthquakes

Rescue operations after major earthquakes are dangerous and complicated. In order to protect the lives of human rescuers, scientists are developing robots that could someday perform search and rescues via remote control. Italian roboticists say they could have such a robot ready to be tested in four to five years. VOA’s George Putic reports.
