Ballots are being counted in South Africa after a nationwide poll that's been described as the most important in thirty years. That’s because the governing African National Congress could lose their overall majority for the first time. Polls officially closed at 9pm on Wednesday, though many people still in line could stay on to vote. Election officials are predicting a higher voter turnout than in 2019. Kate Bartlett spoke to voters in two very different areas of Johannesburg about why they turned out to cast their ballots.
