Explosions Target Iran's Gas Pipelines

Iran's semi-official Mehr News Agency says three explosions have hit gas pipelines near the country's holy city of Qom.

Mehr reports investigators are looking into what caused Friday's blasts. There were no reports of injuries.

In February, state-run media reported explosions on three gas pipelines near Qom. Officials said at the time that those blasts were not caused by technical failures.

The pipelines carry gas from Iran's refineries in the south to the country's northern areas.

Some information for this report was provided by AP, AFP and Reuters.
