US Muslims Mark Start of Ramadan

Ramadan, a month of fasting, prayer and spiritual reflection for millions of Muslims around the world began in the U.S. on July 9. Muslim-Americans gathered together in homes, mosques and Islamic centers across the country to observe their holy month with centuries-old traditions. VOA’s Julie Taboh attended a Washington area mosque to capture the start of Ramadan in America and has this report.
