Sixteen Americans Awarded Medal of Freedom

U.S. President Barack Obama has awarded the nation's highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, to 16 Americans in a ceremony at the White House. The award honors those who have made outstanding contributions to the security or interests of the United States and the world. As VOA's Carla Babb tells us, the 16 honorees are a diverse group.
