US Seeks Pakistan’s Help With Afghanistan to Improve Ties

Both the United States and Pakistan say they want to improve their relationship, but the war in Afghanistan remains a major obstacle. The U.S. State Department made clear that the foundation for a strong partnership between the United States and Pakistan is a partnership for peace and stability in Afghanistan.
