As the European Union and the United States announced additional sanctions against Russia over alleged atrocities against civilians, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy pushed Wednesday for more resolute action. Residents in the areas outside of Kyiv tell VOA they are terrified that Russian forces may return.
