NBA: Philadelphia 76ers Beat Phoenix Suns

The Philadelphia 76ers beat the Phoenix Suns 99-94 Wednesday in National Basketball Association action.

Andre Iguodala scored 24 points to lead the 76ers, while teammate Willie Green had 20 points. The Suns lost their first road game to an Eastern Conference opponent this season. Amare Stoudamire scored 31 points and pulled down 14 rebounds for Phoenix, while teammate Steve Nash scored 23 points.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat downed the Washington Wizards 92-83. Center Shaquille O'Neal scored a season-high 23 points for the Heat, who have won two of their last four games since Dwayne Wade suffered a severe shoulder injury.

Wednesday's other NBA winners include Boston, Utah, New Orleans, Toronto, Chicago, Denver, Sacramento and the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Boston Celtics beat the New York Knicks 102-94, on a night in which they paid tribute to former Celtic great Dennis Johnson, who died suddenly last week at the age of 52. Utah's Carlos Boozer scored 24 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead the Jazz to a 104-88 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. The New Orleans Hornets defeated the Atlanta Hawks 107-100.

The Toronto Raptors beat the Houston Rockets 106-90, Toronto's 10th victory in 13 games. Chicago's Ben Gordon scored 22 points to lead the Bulls to a 113-83 rout of the Golden State Warriors. The Denver Nuggets downed the Orlando Magic 111-101, as Allen Iverson scored 34 points and Carmelo Anthony added 23.

The Sacramento Kings defeated the Charlotte Bobcats 135-120, and the Los Angeles Clippers enjoyed a 96-91 win over the Seattle Supersonics.
