Zimbabwe Soccer Supporters Honor Victorious Under-17 National Team

Zimbabwe's soccer supporters were set Thursday to honor Zimbabwe’s under-17 national team, the Young Warriors, just returned from Windhoek where the squad won the 2007 title of the Confederation of Southern African Football Associations.

The Zimbabwe Soccer Supporters Association organized the celebration at a Harare club, Jazz 105, to honor the team for its victory in Windhoek, Namibia.

Team manager Osten Hakunavanhu told reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that the event will boost public understanding of the importance of young players in ensuring future success for the national team.
