Regulators say they will publish results of a special examination of the 19 largest U.S. banks on May 4.
Worries
that the large banks might not be strong enough to cope with a
deepening recession prompted officials to institute a series of "stress
tests."

figure out if they would need financial help if unemployment rose even
higher or other economic conditions deteriorated.
