It was Allenby's first win in the Australian Masters, and his eighth straight win in a playoff without a loss. All four golfers finished the regulation 72 holes tied with 11-under par scores of 277.
Allenby birdied the first extra hole along with Adam Scott, while Craig Parry and Jarrod Moseley dropped out with pars at the Huntingdale course.
Scott shot a final-round 8-under 64 to make the playoff. Allenby, the overnight leader, shot a 71, while Parry fired a 67 and Moseley carded a 69 in the final round.
