As Fight for Mosul Gains Steam, Gruesome Civilian Casualties Continue

Soldiers say the fight for Mosul has gained steam in recent days, with operations crossing a part of the strategic Tigris river, according to Iraqi Counter Terrorism Services. But as civilians flee car bombs and mortars in recently re-captured areas, it appears that what Iraqi and coalition forces hope will be the last phase against Islamic State militants here, may be the most gruesome.
