49ers, Chiefs to Face Off in NFL’s Super Bowl

San Francisco Giants and the Kansas City Chiefs will be competing in the Super Bowl on Feb. 11, 2024.

The San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs are set to face off February 11 in the National Football League’s Super Bowl.

The matchup in Las Vegas includes the two top teams from the NFL’s regular season.

San Francisco advanced to the annual spectacle of American football by defeating the Detroit Lions Sunday, despite trailing Detroit 24-7 at halftime.

Kansas City earned its Super Bowl berth by hanging on for a 17-10 win Sunday over the Baltimore Ravens.

For Kansas City, the Super Bowl is familiar territory, with the team set to play in its fourth championship game in a span of five years. The Chiefs will also be looking to become the first repeat champions in nearly 20 years.

San Francisco last played in a Super Bowl four years ago in a loss to Kansas City.

The game is one of the most-watched television programs of the year. Last year’s game was seen by more than 115 million viewers in the United States.
