Greece and EU Start Controversial Deportations

Greece has begun deporting migrants from the islands of Lesbos and Chios to Turkey under terms of a March deal between the European Union and Ankara. At least 200 migrants, almost all Pakistani, were returned to Turkey in a deal that human rights activists condemned as an atrocity, but which governments say is a step to solving Europe’s migrant crisis.
