Iraqis voted Sunday in parliamentary elections originally scheduled for 2022, but moved up in response to mass protests in 2019. Some say this is a new test for Iraq’s democratic system, but many activists say the elections are marred by corruption and sectarianism, marking no change at all. VOA’s Heather Murdock reports from Baghdad.
