A U.S.-based organization that monitors terrorist activity around the world said the Islamic State group has released a video threatening attacks in Russia "very soon."

The SITE intelligence group said Thursday that the militants’ foreign language media division, the Al-Hayat Media Center, released a Russian-language video with chants of "soon, very soon, the blood will spill like an ocean."

The IS group previously has called for its followers to wage jihad against Russia and the United States to retaliate for those counties’ airstrikes against IS fighters.

Militants claiming affiliation with the IS group asserted responsibility for the October 31 downing of a Russian airliner in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, saying it was revenge for Russian airstrikes on targets in Syria. All 224 people aboard the flight were killed.

The head of Egypt's investigation team said no conclusions have been reached about what brought the airliner down.

Foreign intelligence has indicated the possibility of a bomb blast aboard the jet, and Russian Prime Minister Dimitry Medvedev, U.S. President Barack Obama and British Prime Minister David Cameron have said it may have been a terrorist act.
