Mueller Resigning from Justice Department

Special Counsel Robert Mueller announced his resignation from the US Department of Justice, Thursday, May 29 during his first public comment on the conclusions of his report into Russia's meddling in the 2016 US presidential election. "We are formally closing the special counsel's office, and, as well, I'm resigning from the Department of Justice to return to private life," Mueller told reporters.
