Opposition Wins Denmark Elections

Denmark's Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said he plans to announce his resignation Thursday after the opposition Social Democrats won the most seats in the country's elections Wednesday. Social Democrat Mette Frederiksen's campaign promise to boost welfare resonated with voters who feared for their famed welfare model. Environmental protection was another major issue for Danish voters as was immigration. VOA's Zlatica Hoke reports all major parties promised tougher immigration policies.
