Russia, Turkey and Iran have agreed to set up a mechanism to monitor a cease-fire in Syria, after two days of peace talks in Kazakhstan with officials from the Syrian government and rebels. But as VOA's Daniel Schearf reports from Astana, the Kazakh capital, Syria's opposition is skeptical of Russia and Iran because they are backing Damascus in the conflict.
