As bad as things are for people in conflict zones of the Middle East and northern Africa, a U.S. health expert says the breakdown in health infrastructure could make things much worse. Dr. Peter Hotez, who develops vaccines for tropical diseases and serves as a U.S. science envoy, is working on a plan to fight an epidemic before it happens. VOA’s Greg Flakus reports.
