Officials in Afghanistan said a suicide blast killed at least three people and wounded eight others late Sunday in Kabul.
Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqi told VOA a child is among the dead and the victims are all civilians.
Eyewitnesses said people had gathered at the residence of an Afghan lawmaker, Gul Pacha Majidi, for a local dispute resolution when a suicide bomber walked in and detonated his explosives.
Sediqi said the lawmaker was slightly wounded in the explosion.
On Wednesday, a suicide car bombing in Kabul killed at least seven people and wounded more than 30 others.
