The gunman who killed at least 26 people in a small Texas church Sunday has been identified as 26-year-old Devin Kelley, CBS News and the New York Times reported.
CBS News reports Kelley was a former member of the U.S. military and a resident of New Braunfels, a San Antonio suburb.
A LinkedIn account appearing to belong to Kelley says he served in the U.S. Air Force from his high-school graduation in 2009 until 2013. CBS News reports he was given a dishonorable discharge and court martialed in 2014. Public records show that Kelley lived at Holloman Air Force Base New Mexico. Records also show he married Danielle Lee Shields, who also goes by the name Danielle Brassfield.
ABC News reporter Mike Levine said, "Authorities are now scrubbing his social media; on Facebook in recent days, he showed off an AR-15 style-looking gun." A Facebook post on October 29 shows an assault rifle with the caption: "She's a bad b**ch."
A police official told the Daily Beast that it is "assumed" that the rifle Kelley used in the church massacre was the same on featured on Facebook.
The Texas Department of Public Director Freeman Martin told ABC News that Kelley was wearing all black, including a ballistics vest, at the time of the shooting.
