Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan vowed to press ahead with a military campaign against Kurdish militants, after his ruling party swept to victory earlier this week in parliamentary elections.
Erdogan said Wednesday Turkey will continue its fight until every militant from the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party, the PKK, is defeated.
Turkish planes have been bombing targets in Kurdish-majority southeastern Turkey and in northern Iraq. Hundreds of people have been killed in fighting between the two sides in recent months.
In July, the PKK scrapped a three-year cease-fire with Turkey, after the government bombed the group's military training bases in northern Iraq, while PKK fighters battled Islamic State militants.
Fighting between Turkey and the PKK has left 40,000 people dead since 1984.
