Despite signs of political reform in Myanmar in recent years, life has not gotten any easier for the Rohingya Muslim minority. Myanmar's government refuses to recognize them as citizens. They have been subjected to violent mob attacks and driven from their homes into squalid camps. Many feel their best hope is to flee to neighboring countries, often at huge risk.
