For most people, learning a different language is a choice. But for students at the John Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, learning how to communicate in their selected region is a requirement. VOA’s Sahar Majid spoke to students at SAIS who are studying how to read and write in Urdu and Hindi as part of their South Asian concentration.
