A Pakistani court in early April acquitted journalist Nasrullah Chaudhry who was sentenced to five years in prison for allegedly possessing banned literature and expressing religious hatred. Pakistani journalists considered it a trumped-up charge to silence reporters and squash press freedom. VOA’s Muhammad Saqib reports from Karachi.
